Amnesty works for the release of all prisioners of conscience ie. those detained because of their beliefs, ethnic origin, sex, colour or language who have not used or advocated violence; opposes the death penalty, the torture and other cruel treatment of all prisioners. Activities include fundraising and campaign work.
