HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF FENLAND'S SCHOOLS

Plans for the re-development of two secondary schools in Fenland will be on display at two community consultation events in March and Wisbech later this month.
Neale-Wade Community College in March and Thomas Clarkson Community College in Wisbech will each be hosting exhibitions to show off the designs for their new schools.

The two Fenland secondary schools are the first in the county to benefit from the Government’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, which will see all 3,500 secondary schools in England re-built or substantially re-furbished over the next 15 years.

£55 million is being spent on re-developing both colleges to provide state of the art learning facilities in March and Wisbech.

Alan Kippax, BSF Project Director at Cambridgeshire County Council said: “Some really good proposals have been developed for these two schools. I hope people will come along to the exhibitions to see for themselves the exciting future which awaits the next generation of secondary school students in March and Wisbech.”

Members of the public are welcome at both events - Neale-Wade Community College on Monday 22 June and Thomas Clarkson Community College on Monday 29 June. Both consultations run between 5pm and 8.30pm.
